The Orchard Garden Hotel

I stayed here a few weeks ago and was so happy that I went with this hotel for my trip to San Francisco. The hotel was very clean, the staff were attentive and welcoming, and this location was perfect. You can get to many tourist attractions from here. Also, I was shocked at how quiet it was at night, despite being in the heart of the city, there wasn’t honking or any loud noise from the street which was a pleasant surprise. When you do your research a lot of people complain about the homelessness in SF but at least from what I could see in Chinatown, there wasn’t anything alarming and I felt comfortable walking the streets even past sunset. I also booked a tour to Yosemite via Trip Advisor and they have a pick up location that is directly across the street from this hotel. Definitely a convenient area.

My 12-year-old and I stayed here just over a week ago and I have nothing but great things to say about this hotel and it's wonderful staff members. Our flight arrived in the morning and the front desk already had our room ready for us to check in. When we got to the room, we found a bag of treats and a cheerful card waiting for my son, whose birthday we were celebrating. The room had a nice view of the city, the beds/floor/bathroom were perfectly clean and tidy, and the temperature was comfortable. Every morning we had a delicious breakfast (that was included in our stay) and the servers were friendly. Whenever we had a question, the front desk was cheerful and helpful. There were plenty of Lyfts in the area and it's located right next door to the gate of Chinatown. There's also a wonderful French cafe and a Subway across the street. The general manager even stopped by to say hi and wish my son a happy birthday. The Orchard Garden Hotel highly surpassed my expectations and I hope to return someday with the rest of my family!

My husband and I stayed at this hotel in August while on a short getaway in San Francisco. We loved the hotel and highly recommend it to city explorers! Its location is great for transit or walking in San Fran (22 min walk to Fisherman's wharf, 7 min walk to Union square with lots of shopping and restaurants; various transit options within minutes from metro to regular busses to touristy cable cars). The hotel is very clean and quiet, the staff is very friendly and everything we asked for was done right away. Our room was clean, bright and nicely equipped, everything was working well, the furniture looked great and mattress and bedding quality was the best I've slept on for a long time! It was a wonderful treat to relax in at night after a long day of exploring the city. They cleaned the room daily (we stayed for 4 nights). The view was not very nice - to an industrial back alley with tall buildings but we didn't mind since the only time we were in our room is to sleep and recharge. We did use their urban patio for breakfast (we brought out own food). Great little gem in the heart of San Fran. Will definitely stay there again if we're back in the city!
